In the doctrine of sanctification as a definite,
yet progressive work of grace.
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no
man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14)
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I
pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the
coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thessalonians 5:23)
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and
Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. (2 Peter 3:18)
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory
of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the
Spirit of the Lord. (2 Corinthians 3:18)
Not as though I had already attained, either were already
perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended
of Christ Jesus.
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this
one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto
those things which are before,
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
(Philippians 3:12-14)
