She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs with
no fear of the future. When she speaks, her words are wise, and kindness is
the rule when she gives instructions. She carefully watches all that goes
on in her household and does not have to bear the consequences of laziness.
Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her: "There are
many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!" Charm
is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly
praised. Reward her for all she has done. Let her deeds publicly declare
her praise.

When you read the above scripture, does that seem like one more
impossible image or expectation for you to try to live up to? Well, as women
of God, that is the true image that He has ordained for us! The images that
we see today in mainstream media are a false illusion. It is all physical
in nature and focuses on the outward appearance. God wants us to focus on
the inside, so we can be beautiful inside and out, an adornment that can be worn
no matter what age or season in life. Women are amazing creations of God,
who fashioned us out of His dreams. He molded us and fashioned us to His perfection.
Our bodies, minds and spirits were created by Him to worship Him in everything that
we do.
The Women of Victory is a ministry that is dedicated to giving
women an opportunity to come together in worship to their True Husband and Provider.
This ministry provides an opportunity for women to separate themselves from what
they "do" (mother, wife, grandmother, or employee) in order to become who they "are"
in Him: Bride, Daughter, Princess, Heir, and Priestess.
The Women of Victory are dedicated to relationship. Our
different areas of ministry offer an opportunity for young and old to come together
in worship to the Creator and to learn from one another just as we were commanded
to do in Titus 2:4-5 NLT: These older women must train the younger women to
love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to take care
of their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they
will not bring shame on the word of God.
There is a women's Bible study that meets every Tuesday
at 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. at the Hands of Hope Outreach Center, 724 West
Main, Durant. There are other Bible studies available in homes and businesses
across the Texoma area. Please contact Victory Life Church for their dates
