~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our anointed group of men,
know as
THE
BROTHERHOOD, has once again been
involved in a worthy mission. What follows is a report concerning their
activities in recent weeks.
Background
Four Rivers Outreach was established as a center to assist people who’s
lives have been damaged by substance abuse, and have subsequently,
either by choice, by court order, or prison time decided to regain their
lives. To that end, the
board and staff at Four Rivers have procured a building to house people
and assist them with their transition back into society.
It is a faith-based organization and they have already secured
favor from the Grayson county court system, the city of Sherman, Texas
and multiple businesses and other organizations that are assisting them
with their vision.
Each week, Four Rivers has a church service to share the truth with
these people. Average
attendance is now over 50.
In the last few weeks, they have seen multiple confessions of faith and
have baptized several people.
Project Overview
The
Brotherhood men’s ministry of Victory Life has committed to the Four
Rivers project to assist with building and construction.
Approximately 20 people will travel to Sherman and stay on-site
and work three full days on the building.
We will begin work each day at 8:00am and work until 5:30pm,
taking a half hour lunch break at 12:00pm.
Our work will consist of installing interior wall studs and
ceiling joists, insulation, drywall (including tape/bed and texture),
installing windows (thru two layers of exterior steel) and installing
doors.
Final Report
We finished our part of the Four Rivers Project in
Sherman, TX, last Sunday.
Nineteen people spent three days on-site, along with 12 to 15 others who
came down during the day time. We finished framing the dormitory portion
of the outreach, insulated the walls, completed the electrical pulls and
hung over 100 sheets of 5/8" drywall.
During that time, we held a Friday evening service (about 50 to
60 attended, several lives were changed, including ours!).
Then, on Sunday afternoon, just before we departed, we held
another service to bless the work, the building and the people.
At that time, we were informed that Four Rivers was
going to name the dormitory (that will house up to sixteen men), after
our Brotherhood Ministry. It
will be called the Brotherhood Dormitory. This was a double honor
because we were already honored to be a part of what these good folks
are doing. We certainly
weren't expecting any honor above that!
Thanks for supporting us and allowing us to represent
the kingdom in our communities.
We were far more blessed than those that we were working for!
Just thought you
might enjoy a few pictures of the REAL men in our lives, doing
what they do best. Honoring
God and Serving man! | ||||
