We desire to be an authentic expression of Jesus Christ
as a body of believers relevant to our generation. The dynamics of this
generation have sadly become a cynical, apathetic, and frustrated group who
are seeking authenticity. Nobody will believe, much less follow as
disciples, unless they are confirmed it is the real deal. Church, full of
programs, entertainment, and empty messages, are not enough; there must be
depth. What more depth is there than the Truth of Jesus Christ?
If we are to be relevant and hope to change a
generation, we must ourselves, live an authentic and passionate life
following Christ. True relationship with Him is the only thing that gives
life meaning; it is why we are here.
We want to serve you by making Christian relationships
readily available for your encouragement and accountability. We will have
small groups to help you live this Christian life, and fulfill your needs as
you make them known to us! Small groups will be centered around a Godly
fellowship of people who are dealing with similar problems and circumstances
in life, while encouraging each other to be authentic in our pursuit of God.
It will also provide opportunity to serve others, the church, and our
communities.
In addition, once a month we will celebrate all that
God has done in our lives as we gather to worship Him unified as the body of
Christ. With our focus centered on relationships rather than church or
religion, this may also be an opportunity to lead people to the Lord in a
non-threatening environment.
Our prayer is for God to move in your heart motivate
you to be a part of what He is doing. We also encourage you to be involved
in one of our existing small groups or let us know how we can better meet
your specific needs.
Together, there is hope to change this generation for
Christ.
Grace and Peace,
Small groups meet every other Tuesday at 7:00

Readers,
It would not be
appropriate for us to leave you out of the loop on our plans for
building a new children’s church. Many of you may know that six years
ago, our children’s church burned to the ground. It was Monday, June 17,
2002 at approximately 2:35 in the afternoon when an electrical fire
started in the attic. Despite the speedy response and valiant efforts of
the local fire department, it was a total loss. There was also extensive
damage to our main sanctuary when the fire jumped from the children’s
church building into the main sanctuary building. Our children’s church
has been sharing space in our multipurpose chapel in recent years and it
is time for their own space! Our goal is to raise one million dollars
before we break ground on this two million dollar facility. In the near
future, you will be seeing the architectural drawing of the future
Children’s Church facility, which will also be utilized by Victory Life
Academy. We are currently at $474,684.86. You may monitor the progress
on our website by clicking on the Children’s Building link. We would
consider it an honor if you would keep this project in your prayers.

COMING NEXT MONTH…. PICTURES FROM CAMP VICTORY. It’s
going great!
Until then…
The LORD
bless thee, and keep thee:
The LORD
make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
The LORD lift up his countenance upon
thee, and give thee peace.
